About

Rico head shot

Welcome to my financial blog;

I graduated from university with a degree in Economics. I started my own business recycling wooden pallets & skids when I was in my late twenties. After twenty years, I sold the business and started a second career as a financial advisor. I officially retired in 2005, but convinced my fellow advisors to start an investment club which I still manage today.

I live in Canada and I started investing in the stock market back in 1984!  I am not a writer so please bare with me.

I am not interested in selling you anything from my blog.

My goals are to encourage you to take control of your finances and to provide you with information that will hopefully improve your financial knowledge. I will write about a wide range of topics, including financial planning, economic trends, portfolio management, money-saving tips, just to name a few. I will also offer my views on possible financial trends that could affect your financial well-being.

Feel free to disagree with any of my views, I love a good debate, all comments are welcome.

  1. Hello, ricodiello

    I’ve just stumbled across your blog after seeing your work on the WordPress reader dashboard. I am very impressed by your credentials and the fact that you’ve been a consistent blogger for quite some time now – not many people can achieve that type of consistency.

    My name is David McDonald, I am the CEO and Founder of The Global Millennial – a think tank for global economic and political discussion. Our website is young, but we are poised for tremendous growth. I’m currently at the stage of recruiting writers and I wanted to extend a writing opportunity your way to see if you’d want to promote your work on our platform.

    Your contributions to the ideas of business and entrepreneurship and how they can make our world a better place are truly inspiring and I would love to be able to establish a partnership between our respective sites.

    If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I think this can be a great opportunity for both of our blogs to grow.

    All the best,
    David

        Just a reminder that we don’t require new articles, you can submit old articles as well and help drive traffic back to your own blog.

        If you ever come back to this idea, please don’t hesitate to get back to me at davidmcdonald@globalmillennial.org

        In the mean time, best of luck with your future writing Rico, all the best my friend!
